Tripharma Logistics, an Italian – Arab Emirates company of which MWM srl is a stockholder, is a UAE-based 3PL operator, uniquely specialized in delivering bespoke solutions to clients in the global pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors,\u201d says Richard Bell, Director of Tripharma Logistics. \u201cThe company has been created as a joint venture between three leading international logistics providers \u2013 RHS Logistics (established in 1998 in Dubai, UAE), and two Italian partners Columbus Logistics (founded in 1988) and Montalti Worldwide Moving( MWM – founded in 1967) \u2013 both highly experienced in the pharmaceutical sector.\u201d According to Bell, this elite partnership combines each company\u2019s long-standing expertise with a reputation for reliability and excellence, positioning Tripharma as the premier provider of pharmaceutical storage and distribution services in the GCC. \u201cOne of the key feature that make us unique is the M2M (Manufacturer to Market) service capability,\u201d he says. \u201cTPL systems are capable of electronically integrating with manufacturer and distributor host systems to give seamless data transparency, controlled, and secured for each unit movement within the supply chain nodes.\u201d In addition to this, Tripharma is also particularly geared toward offering different kinds of pharma companies a flexible logistics solution. \u201cTripharma Logistics offers a multimodal 3PL platform, specifically tailored to the diverse needs of individual pharma organisations across the world,\u201d explains Stefano Bianconi, Director of Tripharma Logistics. The focus then is on providing a personalised experience, underpinned by superior quality and transparency, with all of its experts trained in Europe. \u201cTripharma is uniquely placed to help clients, whatever their size and requirements, whether they\u2019re looking to expand into the GCC region for the first time or optimize their supply chain with a logistics operator whose core capabilities are enhanced by an in-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical sector,\u201d he adds. The 3PL is also well-equipped to help pharma manufacturers in the fight against counterfeit medicines, which requires serialisation and track-and-trace capability. \u201cThe transformation of pharma business processes due to digitalisation will positively help in the battle against fake or counterfeit medicines,\u201d says Stefano. \u201cEach pharma package that comes off the production line, with a unique identifier, usually a scan-able barcode, stored in host online database can be integrated into TPL Systems.\u201d Stefano adds \u201cTriPharma logistics operates with cutting-edge pharma handling technologies, underlined by the Quality Management system that are compliant to UAE GS&DP, EU GSP to be a qualified partner to the Manufacturer to Market (M2M) pharma operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe key challenges in pharma distribution are to provide a quality corridor that ensures product quality, process quality (GDP, GSP, GMP compliance) & product safety. Intrusion of counterfeit pharma products into the supply chain is another critical challenge that needs to be addressed,\u201d says Massimiliano Montalti, Director of Tripharma Logistics. “TPL has defined quality assurance procedures, standard operating procedures, service level agreements, integrated systems with supply chain partners involved that can identify, risk assess, manage the supplier process deviations and decisions are taken effectively by informing the stakeholders immediately for action,\u201d explains Massimiliano. \u201cTripharma\u2019 s track-and-trace technologies, with validated software application capability, ensures drug containers can be monitored and checked against the database at each point in the value chain, from manufacturer to repackaging to customs clearance and transport to market,\u201d he adds. Tripharma is also looking to future solutions for pharma security, such as Block chain. Experts agree this will become the fundamental methodology to secure the pharma supply chain in the future. \u201cWe are ready to accept the method of working on a common platform to provide interoperable capability that never existed before,\u201d says Bell. \u201cBlock chain technology will augment our existing systems capability. Supply chain issues can be pinpointed in real time and addressed. In case of an illicit product transaction, recalls will be fast and accurate.\u201d<\/p>\n
